Troy Champ
As Lead Pastor - and Chief "Foodee" - at Capital, Troy serves as teacher and vision-caster. In this role, he is most dedicated to helping people love God and love each other with great passion as they journey with Jesus. He shares the word of God in deep, creative ways every weekend at Capital.

In his personal time, Troy can almost always be found spending time with his girls - wife Suzanne, and their daughters Emma, Alyssa and Morgan.

In rare moments to himself, Troy can be caught with his hand in the cookie jar (literally), tending to his yard or playing drums behind the "glass cage" on stage at Capital, a hobby he's enjoyed for 25 years.

As one of the founding team members of Capital, Troy served the church as Executive Pastor for 7 years before become Lead Pastor in Spring 2004.

Suzanne Champ
As Associate Pastor, Suzanne serves as leader of the Worship and Women's Ministries.

She is passionate about encouraging people at Capital to engage God through the experience of worship and directs a talented group of musicians each week. As "First Lady" of Capital, Suzanne also heads up the Women’s Team and coordinates opportunities for the women at Capital to experience spiritual friendship and deeper relationship with Christ.

Most of all, Suzanne is wife to Troy and mom to Emma and twins, Morgan and Alyssa. And although she deeply enjoys devouring a good book and scoops of mint chocolate chip gelato (simultaneously), nothing makes her happier than spending time with her husband and making her girls giggle.

Suzanne has a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Music from Central Bible College.

Tara Ross
As Director of Ministries, Tara partners with the leaders of weekend services, outreach and interest-based ministries to provide them with strategic and administrative support. She supports new ministry development, oversees weekend operations and handles event management.

On Sundays, Tara considers herself an unofficial member of the Welcome Team and gets a kick out hugging as many people as possible – especially the people that aren't quite sure they want to be hugged at all.

Originally from Boston, Tara headed west in 2002. She has her Bachelor of Science from Boston University and her Masters in Business Administration from Bentley College.

Tara enjoys reading the last chapter of a book first and loves anything sparkly. She and her husband Greg have two children, Benton and Charlotte. Although Tara does not have a Boston accent, she is considering teaching her children to speak without the letter "r" and to have an aggressive addiction to Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.

Troy Champ
Although he is colorblind, Kelly handles all things involving visual communication at Capital, both internal and external. This includes all material in the physical facility, online, video-based or imaginary. Basically, if you see it (or think you see it) at Capital, he’s got a hand in it somehow. His goal is to see visual media used in a relevant, effective and inspiring way to communicate the gospel to the masses.

Kelly also has a large role in Capital's Youth Ministry, The Edge, in which he works with students as they learn to own their faith and somehow simultaneously, and overwhelmingly, own him at XBox.

Kelly and his wife Michelle were married in 2007 and have a son, Noah. At home his talents range from Official Baker (gotta love being on Kelly's homemade Christmas goodies list) to kitchen cabinet organizer to Soccer Dad and Hot Wheels Race Track Construction Mastermind.

He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design from Utah State University.

Ken joined Capital part-time in 2010 to lead Capital's growing demographic-based ministries as well as manage the Saturday evening service.

As someone who is fueled by helping people develop a true sense of belonging in the church, Ken fits nicely into this role where he also works on developing small group strategy, and implementing a wide range of social and educational opportunities through his ministries.

Ken and his brood – wife Vicki and kids Tori, Kenny and Reese – are an adventuresome pack. They enjoy sports of any size and shape and a good trip in the great outdoors whether it involves a fishing pole or a pair of ski boots.

Ken graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Business marketing and management. He also has a Masters Degree in Ministry Leadership from Rockbridge Seminary.

Wendy Charves
As Financial Administrator, Wendy is responsible for organizing and reporting on Capital's finances. As the person voted "Most Unlikely to Say No", she can normally be found spending as much time volunteering as she spends crunching numbers.

A champion organizer, Wendy is as passionate about order and cleanliness as she is about her dislike of drivers that tailgate. She is a staunch believer in the power of prayer and enjoys indulging her sweet tooth.

Wendy earned her degree from the University of New Hampshire where she studied Business Administration and Accounting. Wendy and her husband Kevin have one son, Zach, and one demanding dog, Bailey.
