Serve at Capital

We invest our time, talents & resources as we serve and love others. While God asks us to love him first and completely, he also asks us to live out our commitment to Jesus in a public way, loving our neighbors and letting our actions demonstrate our faith. Our weekend services groove and hum thanks to a throng of volunteers who meet, greet, seat, brew, serve, smile, hug, pray, click, teach, set-up, and tear-down! Whatever your strengths, interests, and skill level, we want to help you find the right fit for where to serve within our community.

Care & Support Team

Volunteers serve as needed.

Capital Care & Support is designed to come alongside people in our community during a time of need. Life is full of seasons – sometimes we’re in a season of need and sometimes a season where we can serve. Sign up to join the meals or visits team or let us know of an individual who needs care or support.

Service Administration

Volunteers serve a minimum of 1x per month.

This is a key role in ensuring that church services run smoothly and effectively, providing a meaningful and uplifting experience for all who attend Capital at our weekend services. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, along with attention to detail are important for this job. We provide a checklist of responsibilities for each service.

Office Administration

Volunteers serve as needed.

This role provides a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the community life of the church and support the various activities that strengthen its mission. If you are passionate about organization, community engagement, and have a heart for service, we encourage you to serve in this area.

Capital Café Baristas

Volunteers serve a minimum of 1x per month.

Our Capital Cafe is a popular area where important social connection occurs. Our Cafe volunteers play a critical role in creating a warm, and inviting atmosphere where people can relax and connect with one another. No, you do not have to know how to make a skinny ristretto soy mochachino latte in order to serve in the Cafe. But yes, you do need to have a heart for hospitality and having fun! Training is provided, and a love of the fresh brewed bean is suggested!

Capital Kids Team

Volunteers serve a minimum of 1x per month.

While adults attend the service, our Capital Kids (Newborn-5th grade) sing, craft, snack, make friends, and learn about our Lord. Capital Kids volunteers are committed to caring for God’s littlest ones, help facilitate their spiritual and social development, and lay a foundation for a lifetime of spiritual growth for each child. Curriculum is prepared and set, volunteers are asked to love our kids and help create a safe and fun classroom environment! Background check required.

Set-up/Take-down Team

Volunteers serve a minimum of 1x per month.

The Set-Up/Take-Down Team helps transform spaces for Capital services, providing distraction-free, excellent environments where guests know they are welcomed and can experience God.

Capital Host Team: Greeting

Volunteers serve a minimum of 1x per month.

A greeting and a smile from our Hosts is the first person-to-person experience a guest has with Capital’s community. Our welcome team extends the love of Christ through holding open the doors and offering a genuine, heart-felt greeting. If you love people, this is the team for you!

Capital Host Team: Seating

Volunteers serve a minimum of 1x per month.

In addition to helping folks find a seat, the Seating Hosts are responsible for inviting people into deeper connection within Capital’s community. By extending a warm, proactive greeting and facilitating introductions among guests, our seating team helps create a friendly & inviting atmosphere for people to grow in faith among family & friends!

Capital NEXT Team: Coaches

Volunteers serve during our NEXT classes.

The NEXT Coaching Team helps everyone attending NEXT find their place in the local church, discover how God has wired them to serve, and how each person can find a place to serve in the church, community, and world. Coaches pray for the next steps of their people and follow up with participants to ensure they have found a good fit and thrive in the life of Capital.

Capital Prayer Team

Volunteers serve a minimum of 1x per month.

There is power in prayer, and we are grateful for people in our community who have a heart for interceding with and for others by lifting them up in prayer. At the end of each service, Prayer Team volunteers are up at the front of the main meeting room, lending an open ear and a warm heart as they pray for the individual needs within our community.

Capital Production Team

Volunteers serve a minimum of 1x per month.

A lot happens behind the scenes of a Capital service. From the countdown to videos and slides, the Production Tech team might be out of sight but their work makes a huge impact. No prior technical skills are required, training is provided! And by the way, this team always has a lot of fun. Technical training provided.

Capital Students Team

Capital Students (6th-12th grades) grow in their discipleship to Jesus through weekly student services in Salt Lake and weekly on Saturdays in Park City. Capital’s Students Ministry relies on dedicated volunteers who are passionate about investing in the lives of students as they grow in faith. Background check required.
