Journeying together as we follow Jesus.
“Let your home be a meeting-house for the sages, cover yourself with the dust of their feet, and drink in their words thirstily.” – Rabbinic Saying

OWNING - We take responsibility for our personal journey with Jesus.

Philippians 2:12 – Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling…
Philippians 2:13 – …for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
PARTNERING - We devote ourselves to fellowship as we experience life together.
Philemon 6 – I pray that you may be active in SHARING your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.

INVESTING - We invest our time, talents and resources as we serve others sacrificially.
Matthew 5:14 – "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden."
Matthew 5:15 – "Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house."
Matthew 5:16 – "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
1 John 3:16 – This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

We believe in the Bible.
(Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:16-21) The Bible is the completely true story of God. In it we learn about who God is, what he has done, what he is doing, and what he will do. We also discover his plans for us and the life he wants us to live. The Bible comes to us from God by way of human writers, whose influence can be seen in areas of culture, style, and language. But because the Bible comes from God, it is unlike any other book every written, without error and having final authority on all matters to which it speaks.
We believe in the God of the Bible.
(Gen 1:1,26-27; Mt 3:16-17; 1 Pet 1:2; 2 Cor 13:14) There is only one God. In the Bible we discover that he exists as three persons living in perfect community--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created everything and sustains everything by his life. He is holy, all powerful, all-knowing, and unchanging; yet at his core, God is loving and gracious. He invites us to enjoy friendship with him and life that is rich and eternal.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's Son.
(Is 9:6-7; Jn 1:1-5; 3:16; Rom 1:3-4; 3:23; Eph 2:8-9; 1 Cor 15:3-6) From its earliest days humanity has repeatedly rejected the friendship and life of God. This rejection distances us from him and denies us what he desires for us. In an effort to end the separation and restore the relationship, Jesus Christ, himself fully God, entered the world by being born as a fully human man. Jesus called all people to return to God, and he perfectly demonstrated what a life of unbroken relationship with God looks like. Then, through his death and return to life he removed the obstacles that separated us from God. Now Jesus sits in heaven with the Father, representing us, praying for us, and waiting for the time when he will return to his people on Earth. Those who follow him have the promise of eternal life.
We believe in the Holy Spirit.
(Gen 1:1; Jn 14:16-17; 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; Gal 5:16-26) God is at work in the world today through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit calls all people to return to God and enjoy the eternal life made available through Jesus. He is at work within us, teaching us the truth and applying God's work in our lives. And he is the one who equips us with the gifts and power we need to partner with God in his plans for the world.
We believe in the Church.
(Mt 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47; Rom 12:1-8; Heb 10:24-25) The Church is the worldwide community of people who live as followers of Christ. The Church is called by God to serve in the fulfillment of his loving vision for the universe. Capital is one local expression of this worldwide community. We gather regularly to worship, to encourage one another, and to use our time, talents, and resources to extend God's love to others.
