The 20Kfor2020 campaign invites you to join us in an effort to raise $20,000 dedicated to supporting individuals, strengthening families and advocating with organizations to encourage, resource and ensure God’s just mercy in our local community throughout the year 2020. We are humbled to reflect and celebrate the impact of Capital’s local outreach programs during this past year and excited to build upon the momentum and inspiration of the people we are privileged to continue serving.
Your investment provides parents and guardians with material items that will keep their family and children from being separated, it feeds individuals and families that are working hard to transition out of poverty, find solid employment and affordable housing, it allows a neighborhood school to run a motivational program to reward academic effort, it provides relationship with men and women and teenagers committed to substance-abuse recovery, it encourages inmates to know the freedom of Jesus Christ. Check out a list of our partners below and let us know if you’d like to learn more about how to serve. Thank you for your generosity as we serve our city! #20Kfor2020

“Capital Church has been an absolutely integral part in helping our organization flourish and grow. The warmth and kindness we feel from Capital has been exceptional. Volunteers regularly serve meals and spend time with our families, working with them as they make their journey out of poverty and toward self-reliance and we are so grateful.”
Benjamin Sessions, Executive Director, Circles Salt Lake
“The Capital community helped me to find a God that is not abstract but is a father that holds me and walks with me and cares for me.”
Terresa Wood, Graduate, Rescue Mission Women Recovery Program
At Capital, we believe serving in our local community is an essential part of our discipleship journey with Jesus and that God asks us to use our lives to demonstrate compassion. As we do, those we serve and our world are transformed as a result. At Capital, we develop long-term relationships with various partners who meet the spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional needs of individuals and communities. So join your hands and feet with us as we extend compassion to individuals, families and organizations in our local community!
To be regularly informed about upcoming opportunities for individuals and families to serve, join our email distribution list by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. There are ongoing, regular opportunities to serve with several of our local partners. For those who like to get their hands a little dirty, consider joining our Serve Saturday team! Every second Saturday of the month, this ministry goes out into various homes and organizations in our local community to provide some hands-on help and support.
