Forgive Like You Want to be Forgiven
How do you feel about forgiveness? You probably feel great about it unless you have some forgiving to do… As God teaches us how to pray in The Lord’s Prayer, he’s also teaching us how to live. Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. He’s basically saying forgive like you want to be forgiven.

Homework

1. Get safe – if you are in an abusive situation, first get safe, then get help. Then we can work through forgiveness. Contact the Utah Domestic Abuse Hotline 1-800-897-LINK.
2. Ask God to help you forgive.
3. Take responsibility for your healing.
4. See a counselor – That’s just wisdom!
5. Ask someone to forgive you
6. Gently speak to someone about their resentment

Bible verses (commit these to memory!)
Luke 6:27-31
Romans 12:9-21
Colossians 3:13 – Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
