Wisdom From Somone Who Knew Jesus Best
If being with Jesus is the best way to become like him and do
what he did, few people were closer to Jesus than his brother
James. So, when James writes to followers of Jesus, it
shouldn’t surprise us that James sounds just like Jesus. His
short letter, written to apprentices of Jesus nearly 2,000 years
ago, is shockingly relevant and universally applicable to
disciples of Jesus today.

Primary TextJames 2:1-13
Everyone has had the experience of being picked last or not being picked at all. It hurts to be on the negative side of favoritism. Yet, more often than we realize, we are the ones creating negative experiences for others with how we show favoritism.
This week in our series The Way, the Apostle James warns us of the dangers of a treating one group of people with more respect than another.
