Making a ‘To Be’ List

Who you are is more important than what you do.
How are your New Year’s Resolutions coming along this year? Did you make big plans for your career, health, finances, or your relationships? These are all great things to do, but what are your plans for working on who you want to be?
As a society we tend to place notable emphasis and attention on our outward appearances. We stack our success, our beauty, and our charm like clumps of gold on a scale for others to admire and praise. But God measures us with a different scale. He looks to our core, at our integrity, our kindness, and our honesty because those are what make up our soul. God knows who you are ultimately impacts what you do. So maybe instead of asking what we want to do this year, we can ask ourselves who we would like to be, because who you are is more important than what you do.
