Does money tell you what to do? Does it dictate how you’re going to live your life? Do you put your confidence in it? Do you feel peace only if there’s enough cash in the bank or if your investments are doing well? Whether you have a little or a lot, money has a powerful ability to be an idol in our lives. Jesus teaches us to be on guard against all kinds of greed. If you really want to learn how to spend and save with faith and freedom, God is thrilled to help you! Jesus’s teaching offers generosity as a spiritual discipline that works in opposition to greed. Generosity puts money in its rightful place so we can put God in his rightful place.
