Grace for a New Year

Give yourself a little grace, but grow in his grace, too.
Paul writes in Philippians, “he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Whether you’ve been a follower of Jesus for 30 years or 30 days, God has been there with you, and promises to continue working in you now and in the future—what God begins, he completes. So when you think of your failures, your mistakes, and your missed opportunities, trust that God may not be finished with you. Even if you’ve given up on yourself, don’t give up on God—put your trust in what God is doing and will continue to do in you. Give yourself a little grace, and grow in his grace too.
