Your past is the raw material God uses to shape your life into a unique and powerful story that can give hope to others. Without your specific past, you wouldn’t be fully equipped to step into the future God has planned for you! Just like he did for Elisha in the Elijah narrative, it’s just like God to meet you right where you are, and then use the good, the bad, and the complicated parts of your story, and lead you to where he wants you to be. Taking hold of your future means letting go of your past.
