See past their problems so you can share in their pain.
Do you remember the last time a friend told you they didn’t get the job they were so sure was theirs? What about that lunch where your coworker opened up about the pain of being served divorce papers? Or when a child expressed the sadness of no one ever asking them to play at recess?
Did you respond by telling them to just brush it off? Did you offer advice? Did you tell them how you would handle the situation?
This weekend, the Apostle Paul hands us a tool that just may be the greatest gift we can give someone experiencing heartache and pain.
