Reading scripture, you won’t find a detailed description of what the devil looks like, but you will find warnings of what the devil does. According to the bible, the devil is a spiritual entity whose mission is to thwart the mission of Jesus. As we trust Jesus with our whole lives, we must invite him into our lives daily in order to resist the power of the devil. If your selfish ambition is leading you to crush the careers of your colleagues, watch it! If your pursuit of power or fame is robbing your spouse & children of quality time with you, watch it! Whatever it is that you’re leaning on in this life in place of king Jesus, watch it! Through the grace of God, we can be restored, and be made strong, firm, and steadfast.
