When Your Best Isn’t Good Enough
When your best isn’t good enough, God is more than enough.
Many of us live in a seemingly constant state of comparison and evaluation of ourselves and our efforts. Is my photo good enough for Instagram? Are my thoughts good enough to speak up in my Small Group? Am I good enough for her to go out with me or for him to marry me? Am I working hard enough, saying enough of the right words at the right time? Am I getting good enough grades? Is my work good enough to get the promotion? Whatever it is that is making you feel weak, worthless, afraid, or insufficient—Jesus lovingly declares that when your best isn’t good enough, God is always more than enough.
