Listen to the Audio Version:
God-Spotting
We are to see every event as an occasion in which the competence and faithfulness of God will be confirmed to us.
Joseph was raised in a dysfunctional family, abused by his brothers, sold into slavery, and falsely accused and imprisoned—all before the age of thirty. The evidence was stacked to conclude that God was not with him or near him—or even on his side. But despite being punished, an innocent victim of fear and fault, he finds out God is actually closer than he thinks. Join us for a series on the life of Joseph, and let his tangled, tender story color your own.
Homework
May God open your eyes to see that every event, every trouble, every triumph, is an occasion in which he will confirm his competence and faithfulness to you. As you journal, ponder, and pray this week, ask yourself where did you see God confirm his competence and faithfulness today? Where did you have trouble seeing God confirm his competence and faithfulness today and where might you have missed him?
