True love is sacred devotion for the good of another
We often get romance wrong. Maybe you long for true love. If you do, don’t just wait to receive it, start by giving it. True love gives. True love serves. True love sacrifices. True love isn’t pretty, but it’s beautiful. True love is sacrificial devotion for the good of another. God offers us the ultimate example of sacrificial devotion through the cross. When we didn’t deserve it… When it wasn’t easy or painless… Let us follow that example and find true love by being truly loving, as we sacrificially devote ourselves to the good of the people God has put in our lives.
