Are you stuck in God’s waiting room right now? Maybe you’re looking for a job with no success; you’re praying for physical healing that hasn’t happened; you’re hoping for God to fix your marriage while the distance between you and your spouse becomes greater. Waiting can make you miserable, but only if you’re waiting wrong. As we wait, Psalm 40 provides us with an exercise of waiting right. In your present season of waiting, look to the past. Reflect on the times God has previously shown up in the midst of your waiting in just the right way and in just the right time. Allow these memories to strengthen your faith as you pray that God would do it again.
