Stay in the Pocket
American Underdog recounts the true story of Kurt and Brenda Warner through Kurt’s early football career. Kurt and Brenda’s personal stories are full of unexpected twists and turns that test their strength, their relationship, and their faith. In James, we’re told to consider it pure joy when we face trials of many kinds (v. 2). It’s hard to feel it in the moment, but these trials produce perseverance and make us mature and complete. It’s counterintuitive, but when you trust God through your trials, he’ll reveal his faithfulness.

We’re currently in our God and the Movies series where we’re considering how God can speak into our lives through some of our favorite movies.
During this series, we’ll broadcast our service live here on our Capital Church app or at capitalchurch.com/watch but not YouTube.
Our licensing allows us to broadcast the movie series live, but we are not able to leave the messages online to be viewed later. You can join us at either 9:15am or 11am (MST) each Sunday.
So, grab your popcorn, open your heart, and let’s get ready to hear what God wants to say through some of this year’s best movies.
