Be Faithful In The Small Things and God Will Entrust You With Greater Things.
What do you do when you find a $5 bill on the floor of a restaurant? Do you immediately pocket it or ask those at the surrounding tables if they dropped it?
How do you approach the household chores you’re responsible for? Do you do the bare minimum to just get them done or are you intentionally thorough when you clean?
What about when you write down your weight on the Drivers License form? Is it accurate or is it your ideal weight?
These are just a few of the little decisions we make on a regular basis. Because they seem so small and because we make them so regularly they can feel insignificant. We easily convince ourselves that they don’t really matter. That we’ll be honest, intentional and exact when it really matters.
This week, the life of one of the most memorable characters in the Hebrew Bible will show us that God has a habit of using those who are faithful in the little things to do big things for his kingdom.
Other texts in this message: Numbers 6:1-21, Matthew 25:23, Luke 16:10, 2 Chronicles 16:9
