Bone-Crushing Gentleness

Let your gentleness be evident to all.
In Philippians 4:5, Paul challenges us to let our gentleness be evident to all. True gentleness isn’t measured by how you react when you’re happy; it reveals itself in moments of difficulty—when your needs aren’t met, your rights are violated, or your will is crossed. Imagine the freedom of actually being able to choose love in a moment of frustration. When someone bites, you don’t have to bite back. Imagine being free from fury; imagine dealing with the difficulties of your day without aggression or enmity; imagine confronting annoying trivialities and massive crises with patience, gentleness, and kindness. Can you picture it? That’s what God wants for you today and always.
