What happens to us is not as important as what God is doing in us and through us.
What happens to us is important, but not as important as what God is doing in us and through us. God is up to something in your life – watch for what He is doing in you in this season. Viktor Frankle tells us “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” Don’t let the things that happen to you overshadow what God is doing in you and through you.
Sticks and stones may break my bones… but words have power and can shape us! What happens to us is important, but not as important as what God is doing in us and through us. Press on through trials and discouragement, just like Eddie the Eagle.
