“Your Kingdom Come”

Sometimes it seems like all hope feels lost. The Bible says this world is not the way it’s supposed to be. When we pray Your kingdom come, we’re praying “heal our world, heal our wounds, flip this world right-side-up again.” It’s one thing to ask God to fix the world, it’s another thing to ask God to fix you. Are you willing to pray this over your own life? Make it personal. Your kingdom come, your will be done IN ME as it is in heaven.

Lord, our souls ache as we think about the pain of this world, of our friends, and our own pain. But we know that you’re not done. We know there’s a prayer that we can pray that you long to answer. Give us patience as you answer in your time and in your way. Would you lead us to pray it each day as problems arise or we encounter hurting, angry, or broken people. Give us the wisdom to pray it and the wisdom to answer it personally. Amen.
