The only thing more important than what you think about God, is what God thinks about you.

The Bible uses many words to describe God. We see him called Holy, powerful, righteous and faithful… Are these the same words you would use to describe God? Maybe there’s a part of you that feels God is distant. Maybe there was a time in your life where you would have called him disinterested, demanding, even difficult to please.

The truth is, the way we feel about God has an impact on our relationship with him. It is hard to lean on a God you haven’t learned to trust. If you find yourself struggling amidst chaos, doubt, and disbelief in your life, it can be hard to see the light and love of God. The good news is he is with us even when we cannot see him. The great news is the only thing more important than what you think about God is what God thinks about you.

What does God really think about you? Maybe this verse will sound familiar. In John 3:16 we learn – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” When everything else falls into chaos, when we’re wracked with indecision and doubt, one truth will always stand above the rest. You are loved. You are so loved.
