God can do more with your weakness than you can do with your strength.

A lesson we learn about God in church is when our burdens pile up and we become overwhelmed, leaning on God through prayer is the first step toward relief. God is our father, our provider, our rock and foundation.

What would you say if in response to your plea for help, God told you to go in the strength you have? You’d probably and understandably protest! Just like Gideon in the book of Judges, you might look at your problems and your weaknesses and find it impossible to imagine how you will ever solve them. We don’t believe we’ll ever be strong enough, smart enough, social enough, or silent enough to fix our broken relationships, broken hearts, or broken homes.

What does God mean when he tells us and Gideon to go in our own strength? Does he intend for us to journey alone while he watches from the sidelines? God also tells us He is with us, no matter the road ahead of us, behind us, or underneath in this moment. So, when you are ready to protest you’re not enough, may you find the faith to take God at His Word today knowing: His grace is all you need, and He can do more with your weakness than you could ever do with your strength.
