Blessed are the God Pleasers
Who are the people you’re prone to please? Maybe it’s people who can advance your career, or maybe it’s people who withhold their affection. All of us have a desire to feel loved and appreciated by others. You may not be a diagnosed people pleaser, but are your actions shaped more by a desire to please people or to please God? Jesus says blessed are the God pleasers, especially when it would be more profitable to please people.

Homework
Identify people who get your goat. These are people in your life who have power over you to push your buttons and control you. You don’t have to listen anymore. As Dr. Henry Cloud says, “No one can manipulate you unless you need something from them. Figure out what you need and you will discover the source of their power.”
Don’t be surprised when you pay a price for your faith in Jesus.
Be ready with an answer about your faith in Jesus. Take time to prepare yourself for questions from others.
